Original Item. Only One Available. This is a lovely mid-19th century French copper powder horn with a lovely wild boar hunt scene on one side, with the markings within the scene N.A. Paris J.N. for a maker in Paris, France.
The flask measures roughly 7 ½” long and has some seam-splitting along the bottom edge, so there is no powder inside. The screws holding in the wider spout base are gone, so it comes off of the flask with some effort. The spring in the spout is broken, so there is no pressure when pressing the lever. There are two hanging rings meant for a carry strap. The spout is adjustable in an interesting way though there is splitting along the back as shown.
A rare example to find from this period. Ready for display!
