  • Original Items: One of a Kind Set. Collecting signed photographs of well-known individuals is certainly nothing new, and those of German WWII Veterans have become extremely popular collectors items during the post war period. The high ranking generals were popular during the war itself, and when not deployed were often available for signatures at fundraisers. After the war, many German WWII veterans would become fixtures at veterans and collector events, giving talks as well as signing autographs.


    This is a very nice set of signed photographs, which look to all have been signed during the post war years, most likely at events. The set consists of:


    ● 3 3/8" x 4 3/4" signed photograph of Kapitänleutnant Rudolf Heinz Franke, Knight's Cross Recipient, commander of U-262 for 5 Patrols.


    ● 4" x 6" signed photograph of SS-Obersturmbannführer Fritz Darges, Knight's Cross Recipient, who served as adjutant to Martin Bormann and later was a personal adjutant to Adolf H. He offended der führer shortly before the April 20th plot, and was sent to the Eastern Front. He would receive the KC near the end of the war as commander of SS-Panzer-Regiment 5, 5. SS-Panzer-Division "Wiking".


    ● 3 5/8" x 5 3/4" signed photograph of SS-Brigadeführer und Generalmajor der Waffen-SS Otto Kumm, Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords recipient. He commanded both the SS Division Prinz Eugen and SS Division Leibstandarte during the later stages of the war, and post war helped found a major Waffen SS revisionist history group.


    ● 5 7/8" x 4 1/8" signed photograph of SS-Oberscharführer Rochus Misch, who served in the 1st SS Panzer Division Leibstandarte SS Adolf H (LSSAH), where he was severely wounded during the Polish campaign. After recovering he served as part of the Führerbegleitkommando (Führer Escort Command; FBK) as a bodyguard, courier, and telephone operator for German dictator Adolf H for almost the entirety of the war.
