Original Item. Only One Available. This is a very rare WWII U.S.M.C. Canteen set with both the early 1st Pattern cover with Durasnaps, and an exceedingly rare black porcelain canteen. These two items are ridiculously difficult to find on their own, let alone together like this.
The canteen cover is the very rare USMC 1st Pattern in dark green, with the Durasnaps still fully intact and working, although caution should be taken when opening the cover. It is an overall rough example that shows years of heavy use.
The canteen itself is a beautiful porcelainized example, with a good amount of wear as shown. There is very heavy chipping in the porcelain. The plastic cap and metal chain are still fully intact and function well. The bottom of the canteen is ink-stamped
