Original Item. One-of-a-Kind. This is a very interesting WWII Marine Corps jacket that appears to be Chinese-made for a Marine serving in China during the Post-WWII period. The jacket itself has no insignia except for collar EGA insignia.
The interior of the jacket shows tearing but in the center has some gorgeous hand-embroidered markings, including the Marine’s name, Glynn T. McDaniel, in English and Chinese, over:
TIENTSIN
CHINA
Below this is a gorgeous depiction of a dragon over the year, 1946.
The embroidery is very beautiful, and this jacket would be a great display piece displayed inside out.
We were only able to find one muster roll for Glynn T. McDaniel, dated January 1946, with his unit listed as First Service Battalion, 1st Mar Div, Fmf.
A great jacket, ready for further research and display.
