  • Original Item. Only One Available. This is a signed print of “Memphis Belle” that was printed in the 1980s, with each copy being signed by 11 members of the Memphis Belle’s crew, although in two cases, the print was signed by a family member as the crew member had passed away. This is a limited run print, number 375 out of 1000.

This is a great print featuring an artistic depiction of the ‘Memphis Belle’ and 14 other Boeing B-17F Flying Fortresses from the 91stBG (H) during an aerial fight Focke-Wulf 190 fighters from Jagdgeschwader 2 over Romilly-sur-Seine, France, on December 20, 1942.

The print is signed in ballpoint by 11 crew members, including: Robert Hanson, Vince Evans (His wife Peggy J. Evans signed in his place), Robert Morgan, James Verinis, Charles Leighton, Cecil Scott (Signed by a family member in his place), Harold Loch, John Quinlan, Bill Winchell, Joseph Giambrone, and Casimer Nastal. The print is also signed by pilot Robert Morgan's sweetheart, Margaret Polk, the namesake of the B-17, who was a resident of Memphis, Tennessee.

The frame measures 29 ⅛ x 37 ⅛” and is in good shape overall although the back paper appears held on with tape. The hanging wire is retained and in good shape.

A very scarce print from the 1980s, ready to hang and display!
