Original Item. Only One Available. This is a very nice example of an Imperial German leather bayonet frog for the M-1898/05 n/A Butcher Bayonet, the most common German bayonet of the First World War.
The leather of this example shows heavy wear with no breakage, but crazing and minor cracking. The body should be pliable enough to insert the scabbard and frog button into place.
There is a maker’s mark on the back of the frog, now too worn to read, but most of the city name appears intact.
