This is a very interesting grouping of 17 WWII-era military photographic postcards, predominantly depicting German forces and equipment during the Second World War. The lot contains 12 colorized Spanish-language cards, four German black-and-white cards, and one Italian-language card, giving the grouping an unusual international character. Subjects include Luftwaffe aircraft, armored vehicles, antiaircraft and coastal artillery, infantry weapons, Waffen-SS personnel, and operations in Crete.

The Spanish-language cards make up the largest portion of the group and feature an excellent assortment of German wartime equipment and combat imagery. Subjects and captions include:

- “El carro blindado alemán ‘Tigre’” — “The German ‘Tiger’ armored vehicle,” showing a frontal view of a German Tiger I heavy tank.
- “Una escuadrilla destructora Me 110 alemana en vuelo de ataque” — “A German Me 110 destroyer squadron in an attack flight,” depicting a formation of Messerschmitt Bf 110 twin-engine fighters.
- “Artillería antiaérea pesada, luchando contra carros blindados” — “Heavy antiaircraft artillery fighting against armored vehicles,” showing a German heavy antiaircraft gun employed in the ground-combat role against armor.
- “Protección de la costa en el Atlántico” — “Defense of the Atlantic coast,” depicting a German coastal artillery position overlooking the shoreline.
- “Los cañones de un avión de caza Me 109 al recibir munición nueva” — “The guns of an Me 109 fighter aircraft receiving fresh ammunition,” showing Luftwaffe ground personnel loading or servicing the armament of a Messerschmitt Bf 109.
- “Cazas FW 190, dispuestos para su envío al frente” — “Fw 190 fighters prepared for dispatch to the front,” showing a line of Focke-Wulf Fw 190 aircraft awaiting deployment.
- “Lanzagranadas alemanes en acción” — “German grenade launchers in action,” referring in this context to a German mortar crew operating its weapon in the field.
- “Artillería antiaérea de marina en la costa francesa” — “Naval antiaircraft artillery on the French coast,” depicting German naval personnel manning an antiaircraft gun position.
- “Cazas alemanes FW 190 a la búsqueda” — “German Fw 190 fighters on the hunt,” depicting Focke-Wulf Fw 190 fighters in flight.
- “Tropas alemanas de ametralladoras en el combate” — “German machine-gun troops in combat,” showing a German machine-gun team operating from a concealed field position.
- A Luftwaffe ground-service scene depicting a Junkers Ju 88 being attended by ground personnel.
- “Cañón ligero de artillería antiaérea alemana sobre cureña automóvil” — “Light German antiaircraft gun on a motorized carriage,” depicting a light antiaircraft weapon mounted on a vehicle chassis.

The Spanish cards are especially attractive, having been produced from wartime photographic subjects with color added to the original imagery.

Also included is an Italian-language card captioned: “Sbarco di carri armati a Creta” or “Landing of tanks at Crete.” The image depicts armored vehicles being brought ashore, referring to Axis operations surrounding the occupation of Crete.

The four German cards add considerably more variety. One is a portrait captioned “SS-Gruppenführer DEMMELHUBER,” depicting Karl Maria Demelhuber, whose surname is normally spelled with a single second “m.” Demelhuber became an SS-Gruppenführer and Generalleutnant der Waffen-SS in April 1942 and was later promoted to SS-Obergruppenführer in 1944, making the rank printed on the card consistent with the middle-war period.

Another depicts a heavy machine-gun crew in the field. Its caption reads:

DAS ALLES SIND INFANTERIEWAFFEN
Das schwere Maschinengewehr unserer Grenadiere hält den Gegner nieder

“THESE ARE ALL INFANTRY WEAPONS
The heavy machine gun of our grenadiers keeps the enemy pinned down.”

This particular design has been identified as card No. 155, photographed by Kriegsberichter Geller and published by Erich Gutjahr Bildverlag, Berlin, as part of the larger Über allem steht die Deutsche Infanterie series.

The remaining German cards depict another machine-gun crew and a group identified by the printed caption as an “SS-Sicherheitspolizei Kommando prior to deployment in the East.”

Overall condition differs across the lot, though every card is remarkably well preserved. Please examine the provided photographs to assess the precise state of each individual item.
