WWI German Fokker E.V. / D.VIII Lightweight Gasoline Engine Powered Remote Control Aircraft 1/6th Scale Model

Item Description

Original Item: Only One Available. Now this is a rather impressive display item! We say display item due to the fact that this came to us untested and without remote control. This model aircraft was actually used as a standalone display item that was suspended from the ceiling of a private museum display before coming to us. We do believe that with determination and a little elbow grease with a mixture of knowledge, this could very well have the possibility of taking to the skies again!

The Fokker E.V was a German parasol-monoplane fighter aircraft designed by Reinhold Platz and built by Fokker-Flugzeugwerke. The E.V was the last Fokker design to become operational with the Luftstreitkräfte, entering service in the last months of World War I. After several fatal accidents due to wing failures, the aircraft was modified and redesignated Fokker D.VIII. Dubbed the Flying Razor by post-war pulp-fiction writers, the D.VIII had the distinction of scoring the last aerial victory of the war.

The model is in wonderful condition aside from a few discrepancies, one of which being two wooden engine parts are broken off but could easily be repaired to be reattached under the engine. The overall condition of the aircraft as a whole is excellent and rather impressive. There is no significant damage present and would make for an excellent restoration project.

Comes more than ready for further research and display.
