WWI 155m Howitzer
WWI ERA 155mm HOWITZERS AS USED BY U.S. TROOPS
Used extensively by the French for trench warfare in WWI and again in WWII, adopted by the Americans, these European manufactured Howitzers were found in Western Europe just recently. This famous Sneider Model 155mm Howitzer was copied by the U.S. when 2,160 were ordered from Watervliet Arsenal in New York in 1917 for use on the Western Front. Of massive riveted steel construction these have magnificent wooden spoked filed wheels as well as detachable hard rubber tired road wheels (not illustrated) for distant travel. Demilled to BATF specifications these have been restored to inoperable display condition. Weighing some 7,500 lbs., these are really impressive and what every WWI Collector needs in his Christmas stocking. Totally legal to own without any Federal restrictions. Very few available so call for more information. Offered Ex. Warehouse, truck freight collect.
