Vintage MGC Oldfrontier Toy Replica .36 Navy Revolver Mo.1851.69’ Civilian & Yank Model in Original Box

Item Description

Original Item. Only One Available. This is a very nice replica toy Civil War Navy Revolver made during the 1970s by MGC Oldfrontier and distributed by Replica Models Inc. out of Alexandria, Virginia. The revolver is a toy and can not be used to fire real black powder & ball. The revolver comes in its original box with some warnings and a brochure from the company displaying other models they have for sale. A very nice untouched set.

The box reads MGC Oldfrontier cal.35. Navy Revolver M.1851-69’ Civilian & Yank Model. There is a sticker on the side of the box for the distribution company. There is a label on the front of the box reading MOVIE PROP NON SHOOTING, suggesting that this may have been used in a film at some point. The box measures 5½" x 13½". Under the revolver is a stack of some paperwork including warnings about it being for display purposes only and cannot be disassembled. Despite the cocking handle and cylinder being usable, the cylinder’s barrels are partially filled in, so this can never be converted to be fired, and is for display purposes only. There’s also an folded catalog of other toy pistols offered by the company. The revolver has the serial number 06775.

This is a really tremendous toy revolver in great shape, a great placeholder for a display with working parts. Ready for further research and display.
