U.S. WWII M1 Carbine Short Hip Holster

Item Description

New Made Item: This is a high quality reproduction of the extremely rare experimental U.S. WWII M1 Carbine short hip holster. The short holster was specifically designed for troops that could not be encumbered by carry a rifle over the shoulder with a sling or in their hands. The ingenious short holster allowed the user to have both hands free by allowing the M1936 pistol belt to slide between the scabbard and the canvas heavy hip pad so the soldier could wear his carbine on his hip (cross draw).

These holsters were designed for the full-length M1 carbine not the folding stock M1A1 that fits in the paratrooper or parachutist's canvas holster.

Our stunning reproduction uses high density cotton canvas in the correct OD/Khaki green, with blackened brass lift-the-dot type buttons, steel rivets, heavy stitched leather bolt handle trim and a nicely stamped U.S. marking on the outside for added authenticity.

Length: 30.5
