New Made Item: These machetes were made by Ontario Knife Company for Shreck Wholesale Industries in the 1970's. They are not World War Two issue machetes.
Interestingly, S.W.I. machetes were inserted into M.H. Coles book U. S. Military Knives Bayonets & Machetes and at that point were "legitimized" as genuine WWII collectibles.
Nevertheless, it’s a wonderful 18” blade measuring 23” in overall length and is an impressive and affordable machete with a WW2 connection. You’ll see plenty of these on eBay being passed off as “original WWII” with prices well over $200.
