  • Original Item: ONE ONLY! Found in a basement this is an original Steven Tip-up Rifle in approximately .38 cal made from the 1870s and discontinued in 1895. An Antique by Federal definition. Marked "J.STEVENS&CO.CHICOPEE,MASS. PAT.SEPT 8.1864". Open rear sight, hooked western style butt plate, the Butt wood in amazingly good sharp, un-dinged condition. The metal work speckled with rust staining and discolorations. Appears to be fully functional but bore extremely dirty from over 100 years of storage. This is the rarer Rifle version of the Single Shot Pistol Stevens marketed at the same period. Not fitted with or intended to have a wood fore end.
