U.S. Original WWII Named Airborne Artillery Overseas Garrison Cap - Dated January 1944
Original Item: Only One Available. From 1939 onward, the standard issue US Army soft cap was the garrison cap. Also known as overseas cap, pisscutter, or sidecap. Although there were variations in the lining styles, the pattern was consistent throughout WW2.? This is an original WWII issue wool garrison cap for wear with the Class A uniform. This garrison cap was issued to an artillery trooper as evident by the red piping.
The cap is named on the inside WILLIAM FRINK with laundry number F3952 comes complete with 100% genuine Para/Glider patch stitched to the cap. The inside maker label for D & L. Neckware Co. and is dated January 29th, 1944. it is a size 7 1/8.
