  • Original Item: Only One Available. From 1939 onward, the standard issue US Army soft cap was the garrison cap. Also known as overseas cap, pisscutter, or sidecap. Although there were variations in the lining styles, the pattern was consistent throughout WW2.? This is an original WWII issue cotton garrison cap for wear with the summer service uniform- commonly known as "khakis". This garrison cap was issued to an infantry trooper as evident by the blue piping.


    This style cap with squared off corners would have been purchased at the PX. it is a chino cap with 100% genuine Para/Glider patch, hand stitched to the cap. The inside has multiple ink stamps including a laundry number (last 4 of the soldier's army serial number) that reads R-3582. It is a size 7 with correct cotton label.
