  • Original Item: One Only. This is a good example of the standard troopers light cavalry saber used by the Union in the Civil War. Manufactured and marked by "D.J.MILLARD? it is also marked "U.S." has inspector's acceptance marks and is dated "1862".  Complete with its leather bound grip, brass wire binding missing, and the sword comes in its original all steel scabbard with two hanging rings. A nice example from America?s greatest domestic conflict; the blade has a few nicks where some enterprising seven year old probably decided to re-enact Custer's Last Stand all on his own! Untouched, all original Civil War Cavalry Saber.
