  • Original Item: Only One Available. Purchased from the Estate of a longtime IMA Customer this is a standard U.S. Naval Officer's Sword of the Civil War period. With a polished 27" blade showing Maker's stamp at base of blade directly in front of the brass decorated hilt. Comes complete with original leather grip liner and original wire binding. Contained in classic Naval issue scabbard with Sea Serpent around scabbard drag and each scabbard mount heavily entwined with Sea Serpent scales, the back of the chape showing Maker's plaque of "HORSTMANN & SONS, MAKERS, PHILADA." This is a very nice untouched "Sleeper" showing the usual wear of 150 years of age.
