Steyr Solothurn MP 34 Dummy SMG Collection

Item Description

Original Item: One only, just received from a private collection! The Steyr Solothurn machine pistol was considered the Cadillac of interwar submachine guns because of the fine quality of its design and finish.  It departed from the general design trends at that time by putting the recoil spring in the buttstock rather than coiled behind the bolt in the receiver.  In its standard form, it incorporated a bayonet lug and a unique magazine filling fixture built into the magazine housing.  The quality reflects its origins in Switzerland.  This sample includes an original bayonet, scabbard, and frog, and a complete gunner's kit in a leather case.  The gunner's kit is in excellent condition (with multiple tools and replacement parts)marked and dated 1934. Also included are 4 magazines, and a magazine pouch also with manufacture's markings and original 1934 date!  This is an excellent must have collection.
