Item Description
Original Item: The classic steel helmet of the Spanish Civil War (1936-39). This was the war AH used as a dress rehearsal of the WWII Blitzkreig. The NSDAP's sent German "Volunteers" to fight in German Franco's Nationalist Army while German Communist's formed the "Thaelmann Battalion" and fought on the Republican side. The Modelo 26 Helmet is vaguely reminiscent of the classic German Stahlhelm which was later adopted by Spain in 1942.
GRADE 2: Means that the Leather liner and chin strap are in disrepair or completely missing. The helmet will be dirty. The shells of these helmets are in Very Good condition but all leather material is in poor condition and/or missing. We will not accept returns. All grade 2 helmet sales are FINAL. Special Select not available due to poor condition.
