Original Item: One only, just received from a museum quality private collection. This is the gun that the Germans faced when they invaded the Soviet Union in 1941. Its distinctive feature is the large flat pan magazine, but more important is the fact that it was mechanically simple and inexpensive to manufacture, unlike the German MG 34. It had a reputation as a very dependable machine gun, also unlike the German guns. This sample is in beautiful condition, and the cocking handle can be retracted and released with the working trigger mechanism. It is a necessary part of a WW 2 small arms collection.
