  • Original Item. Only One Available. This is a very interesting original Yugoslavian Cold War M52-R fragmentation grenade body, rendered completely inert and fitted with a later plastic fuze assembly marked M62. The grenade retains the characteristic heavy cast-iron construction of the M52 family and has been painted white, with a large demilitarization hole drilled completely through both sides of the body.

Unloaded or dummy grenades, artillery shell casings, and similar devices, which are cut or drilled in a BATF-approved manner so that they cannot be used as ammunition components for destructive devices, are not considered NFA weapons. This example is in total compliance and is NOT AVAILABLE FOR EXPORT.

The Yugoslav M52 series represented a continuation and modernization of earlier cast-iron fragmentation grenade designs. The body was externally smooth but incorporated internal fragmentation serrations, allowing the heavy cast shell to break into fragments when functioning as originally intended.

This is a good example of the scarce M52-R grenade which was fitted with a later M62 fuze. It is rather heavy and is painted white with a hole drilled through both sides.

The plastic fuze is marked with an arrow and MAH. ПУ. M62. The side is marked CPБ-8805.

The combination of the scarce M52-R cast-iron body, internally fragmented construction, white-painted demilitarized finish, through-drilled body, later plastic fuze marked MAH. ПУ. M62, and CPБ-8805 marking makes this an especially interesting Yugoslav Cold War ordnance study piece. The later-added fuze and uncertain interpretation of its M62 marking are important research points, while the heavy original grenade body remains the strongest historical component.
