  • Original Item: A wonderful genuine WW2 windproof lighter in the zippo style. Marked "U.S.M.C" for the United States Marine Corps. The soldier also scratched in his initials "BJH" on front and the back is nicely engraved "Lsie Berwyn" we are not certain if that is a soldier's name or manufacturer.

The most amazing aspect of this lighter is that a genuine turn of the century Japanese Gold Plated Dragon Samurai menuki is attached. Menuki are ornaments mounted on the traditional Samurai sword to fit into the palm of the user for added. Samurai swords were commonly carried by Japanese officers in WW2.

The UMSC soldier owned this lighter customized it as a memento of his time fighting in the pacific theatre.

The lighter is not currently functional, requires a new flint and wick.
