Original Items: During the war, as professional ballplayers joined the armed forces, some of the best baseball was being played on the diamonds of service teams. This jersey was worn by the U.S. Marine Corps club during the 1943 season.
This is a size 40 WW2 Marine Corps baseball jersey constructed from gray wool with stitched on red letters that read: MARINES. The jersey features red piping and 4 gray buttons with 1 red button where the lettering crosses the seam. Overall condition is excellent.
Also included are matching 3/4 lenght pants in size 34. Gray wool stitched with red piping, belt loops and concealed button fly. Overall condition is excellent.
