Original WWII U.S. Navy Gun 3 Inch Wooden MK6 Drill Round with Wooden Dummy Fuse

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a fantastic totally inert, wood construction, drill round for the USN 3 in./50 calibers QF gun that weighs about 21lbs., and measures 32 1/2” in length.
The round is in very good condition and is weighted to match a live shell for accurate training handling purposes. The base plate is brass, and is unfortunately quite lightly stamped, so the only marking that can be seen is: 3 INCH DUMMY CARTRIDGE MK 6 The wood condition is great, with a lovely color, and this example also features a wooden dummy fuse. The entre front end has been covered with bronze paint to increase the display appeal.
This is a great piece of World War II artillery and naval memorabilia which will make a very impressive display!
