Original WWII U.S. Navy Gun 3 Inch Wooden Drill Round - Dated 1944

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a fantastic totally inert, wood construction, drill round for the USN 3 in./50 calibers QF gun that weighs 23 lbs 8 oz. (10.7 Kg), and measures 34 3/4” (88.3 cm) in length.
The round is in excellent condition and is weighted to match a live shell for accurate training handling purposes. The base original was marked: 3 DUMMY CARTRIDGE MK 6/50 CAL and HMC 1944 329486-B-6-BET (with USN Anchor), however the zinc plating has worn off, so the marking is hard to read.
This is an excellent piece of World War II artillery and naval memorabilia which will make a very impressive display!
