Original Item: Only One Available. This is a rough relic example of a Russian WWII Issue SSh-36 Combat helmet, with heavy oxidation covering the entire helmet, inside and out. The liner is entirely gone. The helmet came to us with the information that it was purportedly recovered from Leningrad, the site of the infamous Siege of Leningrad which lasted over two years.
There are no stress cracks, as often seen, there are no real dents or damage to speak of, just the usual wear from use and age. The paint is quite worn with spotted areas of loss replaced with surface rust and oxidation.
A very nice display example.
