Original Item: This is a genuine WW2 era enable plate from Poland. It features a skull with a lightning bolt and the words:
Urzadzenie
elektryczne!
This translates to; Do Not Touch! High Voltage! or Do not touch! Electric device. The skull, lightning bolt and letters are raised on the plate. The plate shows much wear, rust and pitting, it also appears to have been exposed to extreme heat. We were told it was taken from the POW camp Stalag Luft III in Sagan, but there is no proof or provenance for that claim. However, unlike the post war reproductions this plate seems to be authentic to the period.
