Item Description
Original Item: This is a small collection acquired from a USMC veteran’s family. They report that their ancestor took the holster, water bottle, and type 97 grenade from a fallen Japanese officer at the Battle of Iwo Jima.
The collection consists of the following.
Original WWII Type 14 Nambu rubberized canvas late war pistol holster, offered in very good, but stiff condition. Even the closure latch with the three springs under a leather covering is in full working order.
Original WWII Imperial Japanese Army aluminum canteen in near excellent condition. The canteen has original wood stopper, and a clear WW2 date and arsenal mark on the very bottom (in Japanese, which we can’t read.)
Original de-milled inert type 97 Japanese hand grenade with original pin.
