  • Original Item: A total "sleeper" right out of the attic. Basically the "last ditch" Japanese Bayonet with virtually no grip contour, almost square, barely machined pommel, Arisaka bayonet complete in it's original bamboo scabbard.

Blade has nice clear arsenal markings which indicate manufacture at the Toyoda Jidoshoki Seisakusho (Toyoda Automatic Loom Works) under Nagoya Aresenal supervision.

Totally un-cleaned and un-restored, pommel has old dried rust and catch button is currently frozen. Serial numbers still present on pommel end. Easily returned to working order with oil and some TLC.

Scabbard has a couple of unimportant cracks commensurate with age, and is bound with fiber cord with metal mounts to top and bottom. Becoming rare, the last ditch wooden scabbard bayonets have always been hard to find making this an excellent collector's example.
