Original WWII Italian M33 Service Worn Helmet

Item Description

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice service worn WWII Issue Italian Model 33 (M-33) Steel Combat Helmet, as used in World War II. The model 1933 was designed by Nicola Leszl for the Mussolini Government, these have become extremely hard to find on the collectors market today.

This example has the later war Green paint, with lots of service wear and patina. It looks to have been repainted several times, possibly post war. The exterior paint shows a lot of damage and chipping from use. The interior still has the leather liner and chin strap, though they definitely show wear from use and long storage, and the chin strap is partially missing. A very nice service worn example, ready to display!

The steel M33 combat helmet was standard issue to the armed forces of Italy during World War II. The helmet bears a riveted vent hole at each side, with a third at the rear. The outer finish of the helmets varied from pre / early War Grigro-verde to late war olive.
