Item Description
Original Item: Only One Available. This Imperial Japanese Army (IJA) Enlisted Mans Visor Cap has a body of light brown/green woven wool. There is only slight discoloration and wear. The top panel seam of the cap has red piping, matching the color of the red cap band.
Center of cap features a bronze star with lovely patina. The visor has a few bends and minor cracks in the leather. The chinstrap is in great condition and held in place by two bronze chrysanthemum styled buttons.
The interior is lined in green cloth (typically missing), with paper reinforcement underneath. The black synthetic leather sweatband has some wear and a few tears but is about 80% complete.
Size is approximately 7 inches and in above average condition overall. It has a wonderful "crush" look to it which shows it was certainly used. This was purchased directly from a private collection, where it had been kept for decades.
