Item Description
Original Item: Only One Available. This is a nice set of WWII issue Japanese army officer binoculars, offered in very good condition. The binoculars are fully functional with both diopters operating correctly. Optics are mostly clear, and the right side has a very nice range reticle inside.
The binoculars bear the simplified upside down triangle in circle marking for “TOKO” Tokyo Kogaku Kikai or Tokyo Optical. They were a major producer of binoculars during WWII. The Binoculars also bear serial number No.4389 under the maker marking. The right side gives the specifications of 7 X 7.1°., and measuring the lower lenses gives a diameter of 50mm, a standard size used during the war.
Overall condition is good and still retains the eyecup caps. The body has some cracking in the plastic, and objective lens extension plastic is still present. The original neck strap is also present and in solid condition. The reinforced canvas carry case is in excellent condition with serviceable straps.
Approximate dimensions are 8" x 9" x 4". Overall a great addition to any WWII Pacific Collection.
