  • Original Item: One-of-a-kind. This is a genuine WWII Era license plate from the Fort Leavenworth U.S. Army Base, located in Kansas. Built in 1827, it is the second oldest active United States Army post west of Washington, D.C., and the oldest permanent settlement in Kansas.


    It is the location of the United States Army Command and General Staff College, originally founded in 1881 by William Tecumseh Sherman. During the Interwar years, many officers who would have a great impact during WWII attended the school, and graduates include Dwight D. Eisenhower, Omar Bradley and George S. Patton. 


    The plate measures 6 3/8" x 4 1/2" and features black letters on a white background and reads:
