Item Description
Original Item: Only One Available. This is a rare example of an original field cap used by Chinese National Revolutionary Army (國民革命軍) at the time of the Sino-Japanese war of 1937-1945. Often abbreviated as the NRA, the group was the military arm of the Kuomintang (KMT, or the Chinese Nationalist Party) from 1925 until 1947.
The cap is made from Khaki fabric with two metal buttons holding the chinstrap in place. The cap has an extremely scarce pressed tin cap badge on the front showing a white sun on a blue background, the emblem of the National army. The badge has heavy oxidation and paint loss, with some rusting staining the cap underneath.
The cap is in very good condition, with the expected wear and staining from service. The sweatband is a bit worn and so is the chinstrap. Size is relatively small, probably around 56cm.
A very scarce cap, with a very scarce insignia. Comes ready for further research and display!
