Original WWII Chinese National Revolutionary Army Field Cap - Kuomintang

Item Description

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a rare example of an original field cap used by Chinese National Revolutionary Army (國民革命軍) at the time of the Sino-Japanese war of 1937-1945. Often abbreviated as the NRA, the group was the military arm of the Kuomintang (KMT, or the Chinese Nationalist Party) from 1925 until 1947.

The cap is made from Khaki fabric, and is very similar in design to the German WWI/WWII field cap design, with a "skirt" that goes around the cap, which is folded around the outside. It is also tack stitched in place, so it was most likely was uncommon for it to ever be unfolded. It is lined with light fabric, and has a sweatband that looks to be made of painted leather or rawhide. The front of the cap has a round badge showing a white sun on a blue background, the emblem of the National army.

The cap is in very good condition, with the expected wear and staining from service. the sweatband is a bit worn, and one of the two front buttons is missing. Size is relatively small, probably around a 56cm.

The first example we have ever had, ready to display!
