Original Item: Only One Available. This is an original WWII era Axis Powers friendship flag combining German NSDAP and Italian House of Savoy flag designs. Printed on rayon fabric, it measures approximately 12 1/4" in hoist by 13" in fly and features six individual flag motifs arranged in alternating German and Italian designs.
The printed layout incorporates three NSDAP flag designs and three Italian national flag designs bearing the House of Savoy shield, visually representing the wartime alliance between Germany and Italy. The individual flag motifs are separated by narrow white borders.
The flag is printed on lightweight rayon fabric. Two edges are hemmed and sewn, while the remaining two edges are unfinished and show visible fraying.
The overall dimensions are approximately:
12 1/4" hoist x 13" fly
Overall condition is very good. The fabric shows no major holes or notable discoloration. It is, however, heavily wrinkled overall, and the two unfinished edges show fraying from age and handling.
With its alternating German NSDAP and Italian House of Savoy designs, six-panel printed layout, rayon construction, and compact 12 1/4" x 13" format, this is an interesting surviving example of WWII Axis alliance imagery. The overall wrinkling and fraying to the two unfinished edges are fully disclosed. It would fit especially well in a WWII flag, Axis alliance, German and Italian wartime textile, or period propaganda collection.
