Original WWI U.S. Navy 3 Power Leather Covered Binoculars by Bausch & Lomb with Leather Case

Original Item: Only One Available. Here we have a very nice set of U.S. Navy 3 Power Binoculars, as used during World War One. These are much less advanced than the types used during WWII, and are very similar to the types used around the world. They are marked on the eyepiece supports, though unfortunately the markings are miniscule, so they are somewhat hard to read. The top support is marked on the left side with:

Under the sun shield they are also marked by hand with serial number U.S. NAVY / NO. 7,215. Fully closed, the binoculars measure 5"H x 5 1/4"W x 2 3/8", and are of sturdy brass construction. The leather covering is in great shape, and is on both the body and the extendable sun shields on the end of the barrels. The focus adjustment works without any issues, both barrels sliding freely. They eyepieces are in great shape, and they have built in amber sun filters inside of them, which swing into place using knurled dials on the sides.
The included leather case has the same BAUSCH & LOMB marking on the inside of the lid, and is in very good condition. It is missing the shoulder strap, and the lid closure strap is torn through at the end. However the stitching is still almost completely intact, and it looks great. Measures approximately 5 3/4"H x 6"W x 3 1/4".
The optics are still very clear, making this a very nice example of the typical binoculars used by the U.S. Navy during WWI. Ready to display!
