  • Original Item: One-of-a-kind set. These are unusual, original teak wood dice shaker with ivory dice, made from the wood decks of Admiral Jellicoe's Flag Ship, H.M.S. IRON DUKE at the Battle of Jutland in 1916.


    This magnificent 25,000-ton was launched in 1912 and was 580 feet long. She had teak wood decks, later replaced with steel and Dice Sets and other items were made from the original decks in an attempt to raise money for the British War effort.


    She was Admiral Jellicoe's flagship at the great sea battle with Germany's Fleet in 1916 at the battle of Jutland which put paid to Kaiser Wilhelm's sea power. She was eventually broken up in 1948.


    A nice original memento officially produced with brass embossed tag confirming the provenance of having coming from one of Great Britain's historically significant battle ships of World War One.


    Complete with wood lid with ivory button and two ivory dice, ready to "roll"!
