Original Item: Only One Avialable. This is a wonderful example of a rather rare West German 120mm illumination mortar round. The round is totally inert and void of any explosive content. It is unable to be used as a destructive device and is completely safe to handle.
Unloaded or dummy grenades, artillery shell casings, and similar devices, which are cut or drilled in an BATF-approved manner so that they cannot be used as ammunition components for destructive devices, are not considered NFA weapons. This example is in total compliance and is NOT AVAILABLE FOR EXPORT.
The round is in complete condition but has heavy oxidation and pitting present, meaning it was most likely ground dug. The 120mm Mortar Illuminating Round is used for illumination of target areas during night missions or low-visibility conditions.
