Original Item. Only One Available. This is a less common variation on the NVA / VC stick grenades used in the Vietnam War. This model has a short-length stick, with the elusive bottom cap and pull string still fully intact. It has a smooth body, which is slightly wider and more squat than those most often seen. With the stick well-worn and light surface corrosion on the grenade body, it is in very good condition. The body is attached to the stick with screws, but they are missing and the shaft can be removed. Measures 5⅞” in overall length. Like all deactivated ordnance, this grenade is Not Available for Export.
The best part of this example is that it retains original markings on the shaft, which we never see with these. The shaft reads Z-99-98. The shaft and head are both in great shape and display beautifully together with a gorgeous patina. The bottom cap is removable and the pull string can still be seen deep inside, which is very scarce to find with these examples as they were very cheaply manufactured. This is an exciting example that comes ready for further research and display.
