Item Description
Original Item: Only One Available. Scarce Vietnamese-Made copy of a ChiCom stick grenade, which was brought home from Vietnam and used as a training aid for an American Explosive Ordnance Disposal team. What makes this particular grenade unique is that the handle was replaced with a solid example and stamped with the year 1968. This was done in the United States at an EOD school to be used as a recognition/training device.
This stick grenade is completely void of any explosive content and is in total compliance per the BATF guidelines on ordnance. This was a training device and cannot be converted back to an explosive.

This example is of the most common of North Vietnamese Army Hand Grenades of the Vietnam War. This is the typical pattern of NVA / VC long-handle smooth body stick grenade with a crude sand-cast fragmentation head. The tell tale signs of indigenous Vietnamese manufacture is the crude cast fragmentation head and the smooth, non-ridged handle with waxed waterproofing inside the handle and around the collar where the head attaches to the handle. This example does not have a removable bottom plug nor does it have the waxed waterproofing on the inside.
This is a wonderful example that comes more than ready for display!
