  • Original Item: Only One Available. This is an interesting example of a late-war configuration Vietnam War North Vietnamese Army (NVA) Issue Sun (or Pith) Helmet that may be from the early post war period. This helmet has all the correct features of an early 1970’s issue helmet; “Low Dome” profile, vinyl type chinstrap, and Green Painted Pink Fiber Suspension. This example has a star badge but the paint is nearly gone, and it reads CA for Cong An, the Vietcong Security force.

The helmet retains a maker’s label inside reading:

    TONG CUC HAU CAN
    X32

The chinstrap is very worn and bent. The suspension is in good shape overall, but we can’t say with certainty that this is a wartime helmet or early post-war. It still displays well as a representative example.

    Ready for display.
