  • Original Item: Only One Available. Here we have a very nice example of a Zulu Isijula short throwing spear, very similar to the Iklwa, but with less substantial construction and intended for throwing. However due to construction it could also serve very nicely as a close combat weapon. It is one of several varieties of spears used by the Zulu warriors under the leadership of Shaka Zulu.

Made famous in the Zulu Wars of South Africa, as seen in the films Zulu and Zulu Dawn and used by the Zulu tribe during the Battle of Isandlwana, the Battle of Rorke's Drift, and the Battle of Ulundi during the Zulu war in 1879 South Africa.

Constructed of a steel tip with brass wire reinforced socket and all wood shaft. The Zulu spear is a must for Victorian history buffs or collectors of the Martini-Henry rifle.

    Measurements:
    Overall Length: 36 ½"
    Shaft Length: 22”
