Item Description
Original item: One Only. Dating from the time of Queen Victoria (1837-1901), this is a remarkable Tibetan dagger with a plain carved bone grip, mounted in embossed sheet silver and adorned in gold.
The 7 3/4 inch steel blade is single edged with fuller down each side, and itself may be far older than its high quality Victorian silver and gold mountings. There is what appears to be the symbol for fire engraved on one side of the blade near the tip.
The scabbard is heavily embossed silver over a wood core and has a stylized Dragon motif in gold intertwined among silver embossed foliage. The pommel of the hilt also shows a Gold Dragon motif similarly displayed.
Great quality beautifully preserved and ready to display. Overall length is approx 12 inches.
