Original Item: Only One Available. Not maker marked or named, but of very good quality, this three draw Brass telescope comes with front sliding brass lens protector and forward sliding Sun Shade. The body is leather clad and fully closed it measures 11" in overall length. When fully extended, including the Sun Shade this telescope measures just under 34". The eyepiece lens also is fitted with a sliding brass lens protector. The optics appear to be in excellent condition.
Probably English made, this telescope could have seen service with an Officer in the Crimean War or even the U.S. Civil War.
