Original U.S. WWII Wrist Compass by Waltham Watch Co. with Canvas Wristband

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a fantastic condition fully functional small wrist compass, as worn by many U.S. soldiers during WWII. It very much resembles a watch of the period, probably because it was made by WALTHAM Watch Co, as indicated on the compass face. It has a green painted brass casing, which is marked on the back R - 88 - C - 890, the contract number.
The compass is fully functional, though the top crystal has a lot of small stress cracks and age, due to the material it was made from. It has a nice watch band style khaki canvas wristband, which is also in very good condition.
