  • Original Item: One-of-a-kind. This is a sweet heart send home set from a member of the U.S. Navy known as Benny who had a Japanese artist create some art on fabric an coconuts which Benny sent home to his wife Evelyn. The set consists of two coconuts, one is painted in yellow script and reads; Love to a Darling Wife, Benny. Souvenir of the Marshalls. There is a fabric pillow sham that is hand painted and reads U.S.N Central Pacific, as well as a portrait of Benny and Evelyn in an embrace which is dated 9.14.1945 as well as a Japanese Geisha girl and another coconut. Overall a nice affordable little set from Pacific islands in the 1940s.
