Original Item. One-of-a-Kind. This is the lovely 4th Marine Division uniform of Corporal Burton W. Tellefsen, a Radio Operator and Messenger in the Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division. Tellefsen fought at Roi-Namur, Saipan, and Tinian.
The jacket has a 4th Marine Division patch on the left shoulder and EGA Collar insignia. There is an Electrician / Radio Operator’s patch on the left cuff, rare to see. There is also a PFC rank on each sleeve.
The interior left sleeve is marked:

Tellefsen was from Walnut Grove, Minnesota, and lived from 1921-1998. He was awarded the Presidential Unit Citation with star, the American Campaign medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign medal with 3 stars, and the Victory Medal.
