Both in terms of quality and quantity the power of American industry kept the GI’s well supplied. The Marine Corps had their own issued equipment with a lot of crossover between branches.
This is an outstanding USMC field gear set with a complete P-41 pack with the T-Handle shovel & blanket all tied together, an iconic look! The items in this set include:
- USMC WWII Duffel bag, heavy wear with some holes and tearing. Well-named and stenciled to Private First Class William H. Renninger, Eighth Service Regiment, FMF.
- P-41 Upper Pack, great shape with all straps retained.
- WWII Issue blanket with camouflage frogskin retaining straps.
- WWII T-Handle Shovel marked US, shovel cover has laundry number P4990 stamped and written on.
- M1 Bayonet by PAL Dated 1942, great shape with scabbard, attached to P41 pack correctly.
- WWII Issue boxers with 1944 contract date.
- WWII USMC Camouflage helmet cover / mosquito net, unissued.
