Original Item: Only One Available. Officially designated Parachute Complete - Pilot, 24-Foot Back Type B-9 this is an excellent example of the parachute USAAF combat pilots would have worn during WW2. The B9 was just a slight variation of the B-8 which was a well liked backpack style parachute.
This example, complete, with 24’ white silk canopy, all lines, steel rip cord, and a complete B9 harness that is well marked as follows:

This USAAF - Back-Type Parachute has a harness that is also well marked and reads:

Also included is the original WW2 INSPECTION AND PACKING DATA card that has original date of APRIL, 1944 the owners name and subsequent packing dates in the 1960s.
This is a wonderful example of a WWII U.S. Army Air Force pilot’s escape parachute that was last packed in 1964 and has never been opened since.
